Refurbishing a cooling pipe of a Honda VF700

Another thing that needed to be fixed on this Honda VF700 was the cooling pipe that goes under the carbs. Reason for the removal of this pipe was that there appeared to be a tiny trickle of cooling fluid coming from the left pipe outlet. There is of course the odd chance that the pipe is only held together by rust and dirt, but luck was on our side.

Okay, most of the gunk is off and the rubber o-rings just broke off. It was clearly time to replace those anyway. Half an hour with a copper wire brush on my lathe and the result is nice. Not nice enough to leave it unpainted, so it will become black! When that is done, I will show it to you.
