Claiming that American Honda Motor Co. discriminates against Blacks in hiring performers for its television commercials, members of the Black Stuntmen's Assn. (BSA) recently picketed the Gardena, Calif., headquarters of the Japanese firm's U. S. subsidiary.
The group, which won the support of the United Auto Workers' Western Region, filed a class-action lawsuit against Honda several years ago, claiming that the company engaged in unfair hiring practices. Pretrial hearings will begin in December.
